Separate current coverage from expansion plans
List where your people are based and which cities they can cover consistently. Explain who would lead each market and how travel is managed. Keep hoped-for expansion separate from your current capacity.
Describe your team size and the kinds of roles on the team. Aggregate experience is useful; private customer lists and individual rep records are not needed in a recruiting application.
Explain your source of business
Describe whether you rely on canvassing, setters, referrals, self-generated sales, or a mix. Discuss how leads are qualified, how appointments are confirmed, and who owns the customer relationship at each handoff.
Ask how any supplied leads would be allocated and how duplicate, out-of-area, or reassigned opportunities are handled. Do not assume a city listing implies lead capacity or exclusive territory.
Define a complete sales packet
Agree on the information operations needs before accepting a project. Discuss proposal review, contracts, financing or cash requirements, survey readiness, and who resolves missing details.
Ask how your team will see status through engineering, permitting, installation, and activation. Identify who communicates customer changes and how delays or complaints are escalated.
Review the financial responsibilities
Ask for proposed dealer pricing, project adders, eligibility conditions, payment milestones, and cancellation terms. Clarify which party pays your reps and how disputes are resolved.
Confirm supported markets and operational expectations before promising capacity to your team. Pricing, fulfillment, and onboarding requirements should reflect the specific arrangement under discussion.
Send a focused introduction
Choose Dealer / team, include your company name and team size, and select a primary Florida or Ohio market. Use the notes to explain current coverage, your sales model, and the support you are looking for. A short, specific introduction is enough to start the review.
